FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Zesty Smile Music, Santa Monica, CA

Twangy California Pop Rockers, The Popravinas, to release their 5th Album, “Low Chance” on Tuesday, September 17, 2024

“Why not grab a beer and see who’s making this racket?!”

A journey through the past and recent feelings of glad, sad and very funny, The Popravinas (pope-rah-veen-ahs) return with their 5th album, “Low Chance.”

Having delightfully been accused as treading “a thin line between smart-arsery and just plain smart,” some may say “Low Chance” reveals an essence of maturity…but this band has a way of changing moods and actions quite rapidly!

From the ‘glad’ of Closest Thing to a Smile, the ‘sad’ of North Winds Howling, to the ‘very funny’ of their latest single “The Girl Who Didn’t Want To Hear Any Tunes,” an ode to a past “affaire de coeur.”

“Very good looking, very smart.” as explained by Eddy Sill (Lead Vocals/Bass/Songwriter). “But couldn’t stand to hear any music. Drove her absolutely crazy. Perhaps cultural, I heard it could’ve been a medical condition…but I didn’t want to get into that!”

The Popravinas continue to brilliantly fuse the jangle of the 60’s and 70’s with brushes of alt-country along with the rockiest of power pop.

As one live reviewer recently contended, “How could something like this fall through the cracks? Melody meets fun, all wrapped up in a colorful bow of perfectly written tunes.”

As The Popravinas always say... they'll "See You At The Bar!”

The Redwood, Los Angeles, CA 6.28.24

We had a blast at The Redwood in downtown Los Angeles on a recent balmy Summer evening!  Thanks to all who came out for a great night

 of music.

Lost Chord Guitars, Solvang, CA 5.4.24

Another fantastic time in Solvang, CA. Tons of fun with the locals, fans, friends from Los Angeles and one from Wales! No chicken sandwiches, but plenty of fine wine and music.

Dean brought his new ride to the gig this weekend...
